Spring

I've mentioned before how much I struggle with posting, what I haven't mentioned is that I have even more trouble with self control. I know I will never be a good, efficient blogger if I don't stop reading everyone else's blog and get down to writing my own. But what's a girl to do with so many interesting blogs out there? Of course, that is a retorical question. :)

Today I'm going to try, once again, to put the pictures in where I want them with some sort of text around them. Good luck to me.
Here is what one of my flower beds looked like April 2. Lots of snow had already melted, but lots more to go.
Here's my poor lion who lives at the end of the driveway.

There was one flower out that day, in an abandoned flower bed. One little crocus. This flower bed is out by the highway and is quite exposed to the elements. Very dry most of the summer. I'm thinking about reclaiming it, but that's another story.

The day after these pictures were taken, we had snow. Now, fast forward to yesterday, April 9.
Today it's rained all day. We even had our first
thunderstorm. You can actually watch the snow
recede.

I started blogging 3 years ago - I had to learn everything little by little. You just build on what you learn!

I'm your newest follower! It looks like we both started our blog around the same time. Your posts are really good. I love the crocuses. We have those here in North Carolina; they're usually the first flowers to raise their little heads in winter. It looks like you have a lovely dining room, and I LOVE your Dimity Rose china. It's some of the prettiest I've seen, and your teacup collection is gorgeous as well. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

What a beautiful post on Spring, I love the crocus with the bright colors and the snow peeking around the lion's head. I went back and read some of your other posts for it was so nice to see your pretty photos and learn of your great collections. My husband and I love to collect china and have for many years. Thanks so much for visiting my blog and your kind words.
